for Arctic environment: First expedition followed by 60.000 people*
This project was born from an idea “Sport for Nature” by Studio Tirelli. The importance of respecting our environment and nature of our planet for the present and especially the future. This project is a journey which will take Mental Trainer Mr. Stefano Tirelli, and Professor of Sportive Additional Techniques at the University Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milano (Italy) along with Sky Sport journalist Mr. Massimiliano Nebuloni to the Svalbard Islands, archipelago in the Arctic Ocean.
The Arctic Circle is the area where the global warming most effects the damaging conditions of our planet, especially caused by plastic, are more visible. The human contamination is mostly affecting the above mentioned area, which is an example of what in the future will eventually happen to different parts of the world. This journey will focus both on raising awareness on the need for environmental protection in the future generations and on mental training, which will be fundamental in the future to confront climate changes. First level International Athletes will help bring across the very important message of solidarity and their commitment in helping our planet. Sport can be used by its Athletes to drive people’s attention and especially younger generations towards such an important topic, which is affecting our daily life.
